Weddings, from where I was standing
These are whole wedding days, written up the way I saw them: who was there, what happened, and the bits nobody planned, complete with a selection of highlight photos from the day. Where the couple wrote a review, their words are in there too.
Liam & Samie — The Pumping House, Ollerton
A red-brick pumping station on the edge of Sherwood Forest, confetti on the front steps, a bride in a bath, and a dance floor that was still going when I left. Come inside for the day.
Helen & Jonathan — Hodsock Priory, Blyth
A bright May Saturday at Hodsock Priory, with acoustic guitar in the gardens, confetti through the Gatehouse and dancing on the lawn long before the band arrived. Helen and Jonathan wanted their day told as a story, so here it is.
Georgie & Dom — St Aidan's Church and The Tetley, Leeds
Georgie and Dom married at St Aidan's Church in Harehills, under more pink and white confetti than I've seen at most weddings, then headed into Leeds along the canal for a sunny afternoon at The Tetley. It finished with a brass band and one last photo under the neon lights.
Cherelle & Jack — Bowers Mill, Halifax
Cherelle and Jack's Bowers Mill wedding near Halifax: a ceremony with a ring hunt, portraits round the old mill, a cake cut with a Sheffield pen-knife, a quiz and a very full dance floor.
Urban, Unconventional Wedding at The Baltic, Liverpool
Hop on the love train and chug through the epic love story of Tash and Tony's wedding day in the heart of Liverpool's vibrant cityscape! Picture a party that starts with candid shots and giggles around every corner, follows with a ceremony that's more like a comedy show with heart, and moves onto portraits in the grooviest locations—including a skate park (because why not?). This day was all about tossing the rulebook out the window and celebrating in full swing.
